Practicing Noticing

use This out-of-classroom activity as a fun and insightful lead into empathy, immersion and observation work

Practicing noticing helps students to 'get their eyes on' and become more attuned to the opportunities and needs that exist all around us hidden in plain sight. This workshop includes the Eameses’ classic short film Powers of 10 to inspire students to look beyond the surface and observe with new lenses, considering scale, time, relationships, workarounds, and more.
